Pruemi
The Pruemi are not much different to us in their basis, yet their habitate in the Mountains of Edi by time formed what could be called a little nation or culture on their own inside ours. I am joyful about the fact that I was able to live in their society for some time. My studies about The Old Ones have driven me into the mountains as a lot of well intact ruins of the forgotten fallen empire our nation is build on are set in the habitat of the Pruemi.
Their reputation of being cold hearted and stiff is certainly just a superficial observation. They stand just as firm as the mountains do when it comes to trouble, with their village and family in particular. In their homes by the fireside when the masks fall they're just as heartily as we are. They are great survivalist and warriors and to me it's not a surprise that some of our most nameful military leaders have been bred in their harsh surroundings. One of the most astonishing abilities they have is to have befriended some Bomemi, which are a feared by most Lucemi due to their nature of ruthless predators.
Yet in the last decades they sadly enclose themselves from us more and more. In the past there have been growing disputes over the structure of our land, in particular about how we try to nourish every part of Lucem Edi and thus distribute the supplies through the land. The impassable nature of the mountains has proven to nourish these problems again and again as deliveries tend to get stuck or even cause casualties. Where the floating Ereneii caravans usually deliver on their own with ease in the mountains well trained leaders are needed, as you never know which way is still safe and in the season of snow storms their villages are sometimes unreachable for weeks, even months.
To my sadness this has evolved to a slumbering conflict, after the last season of snow storms they have stopped sending wares, they have stopped attending the councils calls without any precise statement. For now they still allow the caravans delivering and exchanging goods, but they are blocked off when it comes to hospitality, trying to get rid of the visitors as fast as possible. Usually they welcomed curious travellers and the caravanleaders in their coldish way to their fireside, this seems to be gone as reports of travellers rise who are sent back out of the mountains.
