Aberion Swifthands

Aberion's life truly began when his clan exiled him at a young age.  Where his family wanted to add bodies to the ever-growing piles of his enemies Aberion found himself much happier studying them. This taboo led his parents to take him out to the middle of the forest and leave him there. Thankfully he wasn't alone for long - a kindly necromancer took pity on the young boy and began to raise him as his own. This new life took Aberion all throughout the woods examining all the living and dead things he wanted. It wasn't long until he found he had a knack for magic especially necromancy like the adoptive father that raised him. Unfortunately his newfound powers could not save his master when his time came. Alone again Aberion went off to search for new friends.
At one point, his wanderings brought him to the city of Ladeisk. He had come from the west looking for a healer to employ him, and now, nearly penniless, sought the patronage of one who would grant him access to equipment that would allow him to grind up medicinal ingredients. Before long, he met Iraklii Petrovich - a healer in the princely citadel. Iraklii noticed something about the stranger, and promised him access to equipment and supplies, as well as a body, if he would talk a patient of his into some bloodletting (and, as it later turned out, to have him bled by leeches). Aberion agreed, and went for a consultation with the patient, who turned out to be Alden. Alden quickly sensed something familiar about the stranger, and told him that he's a disgrace to his kind - the volkodlaks - for engaging in unsavory practices and for having taken up with Iraklii. Aberion did manage to procure some blood from the patient, though on his way out, he noticed Iraklii eavesdropping on their conversation near the door. Nevertheless, the healer did live up to his side of the bargain, ground up the mysterious bone Aberion had brought with him, and presented the young man with a share of the blood collected from Alden. He also agreed to meet Aberion at a cemetery to locate a suitable body, after night had fallen.
At midnight, Aberion met Iraklii, along with some of his associates - Lokan(person:9f69caa9-15a1-4055-b57f-c9a2fd2db05e), @[Augusta, and Agapia, who had just returned from a trek out of town, at a graveyard near a convent. Lokan and Agapia begin to dig, but before a coffin is found, or Aberion has a chance to utter an incantation over the blood and bone dust he has tried so hard to acquire and produce, a hand suddenly sticks up out of the ground. It seemed to have come unbidden - though animating it was Aberion's goal, he had no time to summon it. The priestess manages to subdue it, though not before it wounded Lokan.
The chance meeting in the graveyard did have a fortuitous outcome. The following day, Aberion is summoned for an audience with Prince Trofim Andreevich, and is introduced there by Lokan as a competent healer. Upon this recommendation, Aberion was granted access to facilities at the citadel. He subsequently meets Yuri, who had just returned from Sitnitsa with some angry peasants. But later that night, the convent where Agapia is staying comes under the attack of more navii, and as his new acquaintances tried to drive them back, Aberion decides to use the ground bone to reanimate some of the corpses already felled by the Serpent Slayers. But the robes of the corpses prove to be empty, and worse, Mother Feodosia, the abbess, who arrived on the scene, divined Aberion's purpose, and commanded him to stay in place. The prince, roused by the commotion, soon arrived as well, and hearing the Mother's account of Aberion's actions, ordered him to be thrown into a pit until a full accounting of his actions is aired. 
Ultimately, Aberion stood accused of being the minion of Cherniava - a witch from Sitnitsa, who he had never met - and of not only doing her bidding and rousing the dead, but also of clouding Yuri's mind. What happened to him subsequently is not known, because the Serpent Slayers left town forthwith, but to the best of their knowledge, Aberion remains in Ladeisk.

Aberion is an odd looking boy with long white hair and big bright green eyes that seem to always be glowing with curious excitement. He has an average build for one of hi kind, smooth muscle built for speed and flexibility despite spending most of his time studying. It is known from Alden that he is a wolf shapechanger.
