Shatkal
This is a fishing village is located 5-10 versts upstream from Udyn, on the same side of the river as the city. It consists of several dozens of wooden huts, and is populated by Kochmak-speaking fishermen who espouse the Bahite faith.
Erken the Fisherman is the headman of the village. His house is located at the center, near the small local shrine. The village also has elders (who can fit into one house), and a dozen or so badly-behaved children, who can be rude to outsiders.
The age of the village is unknown, but as there are no stone or brick structure here except the mosque, it is probably not that old.
