Stinker aka Terentii

Stinker is a rat who originally belonged to Cherniava, apparently a hedge witch who lived in the village of Sitnitsa. He was gifted to Agapia when the Serpent Slayers went to speak to the crone, but apparently, with ulterior motives. After the party left for Ladeisk with Ryaba's Golden Egg, Stinker swished his tail, and cracked it open, which led to Agapia swallowing the yolk. As her companions swung into action, Stinker transformed into a ratty-faced humanoid, and told them that they now have the power of the egg, and that Agapia was now the harbinger of change in the world. He also revealed that his real name is Terentii, and that he would be willing to stay with the girl as her companion. Augusta de Urbino then determined that Stinker was a creature of the Netherworld. Stinker/Terentii subsequently changed back into a rat, but he did stay with Agapia for some time, typically hiding in her rats' nest of hair. After the Serpent Slayers traveled back north, Terentii became agitated near a mucky pond, changed back into ratman form, waved his arms up and down, and excitedly informed the group that "they" were coming. The "they" turned out to be a horde of slimy nechist' amphibians - kulishes. After Agapia and the rest of her companions scattered, Terentii abandoned her, but was later rediscovered while Yuri and Zalyn were searching Cherniava's hut in Sitnitsa. Terentii told them that he knew nothing about Cherniava's disappearance, but he had seen a female wolf shapechanger come into the group's camp, and then leave with Lokan, after which, he got scared, made his way back to the village (which was nearby), but hid in his old home after he found all of the villagers slaughtered. He then changed back into rat form, and attached himself to Zalyn. After the group relocates Agapia, he left Zalyn and joined his previous mistress. He remained with Agapia until she entered the Grey Wolf's realm, but after she was disgorged by him, Stinker-Terentii has not been seen, and his whereabouts are unknown.
