Numerous factions emerged out of the power vacuum created by the Southern Protectorate's dissolution during the Night of Dark Portents (12/26/3,215 LE).    Qalvi Varai had massacred all of the Thirteen Protectors during hir full-blown assault on Reverent Serenity, Southern Protectorate, S Leona, at which time he had conjured an undead warhost totaling 20,000-30,000 strong.
