Kobold (ko-bɔld)
Kobolds are a truly loyal people. Their dedication and creativity make them incredible engineers and mages. They highly value effort, whether through consistent, hard work, or spontaneous bursts of creative energy. Being around a kobold is never a bore with their determined attitude and quick decision-making.
Appearance
Most Lushurans consider Kobolds "the place where lizards and old dragons meet." Kobolds usually share the coloring variety of lizards, with few being just a single color. However, their heads are distinctly more draconic. Kobolds are also fairly short, reaching at most 4ft tall. The most notable element of any Kobold is their horns. They're highly valued because of the distinction it gives them from lizards. Any Kobold of relatively high standing will also decorate their horns with jewelry, however, most Kobolds scoff at the idea because of how it would interfere with their work. This makes telling the economic class of a Kobold exceptionally easy.History
The origin of Kobolds is still debated due to discrimination. Some argue that Kobolds are slightly smarter lizards, often in an attempt to make them seem non-sentient. More recently, others argue that Kobolds are miniature Dragons in order to label them as a threat. However, they've been around since the first species were created. With the amount of connections between Kobolds and Dragons, the era of the Draconic Wars proved difficult for most Kobolds. Some managed to get into the migrating Goblin groups, but most either lived in tiny villages or served the Dragons (who proved to be quite benevolent employers). After the heavy destruction of the mountain caves, Kobolds became highly endangered. Luckily, some shifting attitudes and the Kobolds' ingenuity have helped stabilize the population.Features
