Thorn's Quest

Professor Thorne, a mage, seeks adventurers to assist in safeguarding an archaeological dig site where the remains of an ancient dragon have been unearthed. The site holds valuable artifacts and secrets, drawing attention from opportunistic treasure seekers. He asks for aid in his research as well as protection if need be and promises a significant reward (500 base gold, 1000 gold for each successful check, 2000 for each critical on these checks).

Arcana Check: Uncover magical residues or traces within the bones, identifying any latent magical properties or the dragon's magical history.

Investigation Check: Examine skeletal structures or patterns to discern the dragon's behavior, age, or potential causes of demise.

History Check: Research ancient texts or inscriptions nearby to glean information about dragons of the same lineage or era.

Nature Check: Study the composition of the bones, scales, or other remnants to understand the dragon's physiology or habits.

Battle of the Bones:

A large party of thieves, 1 Bandit Leader and 12 bandits, attempt to take the bones. The players must defend the bones and the Professor. after this they receive their pay (split) and 250xp (each).
