Eldrethar
Last stop before the Baltas Range...
Named after the now ancient brass dragon, Eldreth, that serves as it's patron, Eldrethar is a mid-sized village, founded shortly after the War of the Gods, on it's way to becoming a town after the discovery of Erydium, which can be used in the enchantment process for magical items. Rolph and Tumble Mining Company owns exclusive mining rights to the mine.
Points of Interest circa 1379
- Rose Apothecary - proprietor: Rose Sussen(human) - small shop for odds and ends from poultices and salves to the occasional healing potion
- Rolph and Tumble Mining Co. - proprietor: Rolph Sussen(human) - Mining company and quarry on the eastern edge of Eldrethar. Daya's first known source of verdicite, leading the mines importance in the regional affairs in the years following the events of the Wayfaring Strangers campaign.
- Pillows' Rest Inn - proprietors: Pence and Rupee Stonesworth(gnomes) (parents of two of the abducted children: Triss and Trilla) - Homey and quiet inn that has been family owned for generations.
- The Shady Run - proprietor: Rolph Sussen - Run down and lively establishment to say the least. Home away from home to the local miners from Rolph and Tumble Mining Co. who spend the majority of their pay there. Run by Shira'lee Dimples, a dwarven woman, and madame over the brothel element of the Shady Run.
- Noble Stacks Bound Books - proprietor: Liddy Wentwood(human) - One of the first bound book storefronts, new printing technology has allowed for the production of books for general consumption.
Additional Persons of Interest circa1379
- Arthus Ironbound - apothecary - apprentice to Rose Sussen until his sudden dissapearance in the weeks prior to the events of the Wayfaring Strangers campaign
- Irrard Sfaltz - would later come to be known as the founder of the ratfold race. His dark arcane experiments, with the assistance of Arthus Ironbound's alchemy, warped gnomish and halfling children into a new race of humanoid rodents.
- Gimbree - miner at the Rolph and Tumble Mining Co. who lost his friend Mills Moonacre in the mine, finding his corpse which had been completely stripped of it's skeleton.
