Vecna the deceiver was responsible for the uprising and conflict of the gods in the last age. The deities that joined with him were sundered, but not much was recorded of Vecna's fate. Whispers began to be heard in the late 1200s of this age of "The king who sleeps" which swept our Wayfaring Strangers group into a world beyond their imaginings.
