Zedash
Capital of Rennlund
Large capital city of the Rennlund Empire. It grew from a small port city on the banks of the Glothroc river. The city is built in three tiers, with the lowest being the Lower slums, and the highest being the noble district. The Noble district is of course home to the castle and keep of the royal family, led by the drunkard King Vizronn (circa 1379). The Middle District is where Rennlund really differs from other cities of the continent of Daya. Here, you can find wares from the other continents of Lyceia, a capability that is out of reach for most other cities of Daya. With these wares, there has grown small populations of varying races as emissaries have travelled with there products and have stayed as liasons to Rennlund. Daya has been very accepting of all of these different cultures, especially the arts. In Rennlund, you can see artifacts from all over Lyceia and take in the customs and cultures from whence they have come.
Rennlund is home of the most prestigious mage school in the land, known as the Tower, where the Gemlight Initiates are trained in the ways of spellweaving. The river Glothroc serves as a geographic shield from attack and the primary source of commercial trade for this large city. Zedash is also home to Finders Geepers, a magical storefront dealing in ill-gotten magical items, run by Geep. One unique aspect of this city is their adoption of the elven bathhouses found in both of the Elven cities on the continent. Humans from across the realm travel to see these geothermal marvels.
Again To War...(circa 1380)
Immediately following the death of King Vizronn under mysterious circumstances, the Wayfaring Strangers found themselves facing down the task of protecting Zedash from a massive undead army remotely led by Eldrissa Mellasombre. With the cooperation and protection of the Korlossian army following the party's rescue of the Marquette Balisoran Den'ir, the party was able to leave Captain Sinn and the marquette to mount defenses as the party travelled to the Mellasombre Duchy to attack the problem at its root.
The plan proved somewhat fruitful with the party defeating Eldrissa. However, unbeknownst to the majority of the party, Maeliz, the tiefling rogue of the party, had been possessed by a mysterious being...
