The Journey
The journey is a ceremony by which one of the elder Flame Maidens having finished her work on Lyra she is prepared and then walks into the bonfire around the festival square and explodes in a brilliant flash of light as her body and soul ascends into the heavens and becomes one with the mother she served all her life. It is an honour and privilege for any Flame Maiden over the age of 45 to be selected. The way that the Flame Maidens are selected is a secret kept by the Sun Council but it's speculated that factors like the service record, current age and of the maiden are taken into consideration

Very nice! I like the part about the fireworks and fire manipulation. Would that be fire dancing? Fire sculpture? or both? Both would be good! :D And this...
