The Ealari Exodus

The blood stained Exodus of thousands oppressed Ealari serfs from the villages surrounding the city of Akemas to the Rhiannathan Mountain Range.
In the year 689 AI after years of abuse the Ealari serfs of the Akemani around the city of Akemas took arms demanding better treatment and better feudal contracts that will allow them at some point to pay off their dues and become Freeman.
At the beginning the rebellion has started by serfs refusing to till their plots of land and hiding the oxen so nobody else could. The Akemani Yeoman responded by abducting and in some cases killing the children of their serfs in order to get them back to work before it was too later for the years harvest.
The events escalated quickly when the Mayor of the city of Akemas requested military support by the Empress and that request was granted by sending a force of 700 Regulars led by Clotaire d'Alumiere
After a year of playing cat and mouse and the complete loss of two harvests that brought the empire to the edge of starvation the armies of Clotaire managed to trap the rebels into the northern marshes of the Akemani plains and slaughter most of them. The survivors of the slaughter and the women and children that were camped a bit further up the hills managed to escape and were joined by another 7000 Ealari into a massive walk-out into the Rhiannathan Mountain Range.
