Whirling Waters Cathedral
The brilliant white marble tower of the Whirling Waters cathedral is located in the outskirts of the Thebia, the capital of the Theban Empire. The great cathedral dedicated to Lyra by the followers of Lyraism stands over 70 meters tall, towering over the forest surrounding it.
The magnificent all-white marble tower stands tall on five arches above a geod lake filled with crystal clear waters. The faithful gather on the shade of the tower light by colourful light filtered by stained glass windows surrounding the stone super structure of the tower.
The faithful can come to pray to Lyra and touch the crystals praying and wishing for all people to be healthy and well, to enjoy a long life free of ailments and to die happy surrounded by those they love and are loved by them.
Each prayer charges the Adium crystal geod with even more anima. Once a faithful needed healing comes into the temple and the priests found them worthy to take Lyra's blessing they are submerged into the waters of the geod lake. It is at that point that the enormity of the combined anima of thousands of followers all rushes into them healing them of virtually anything they might have been suffering from.
Purpose / Function
The Whirling Waters cathedral is the center of faith for all followers of Lyriaism. It is common for all faithful to take the journey to the temple at least once in ther lifetime if not more.
The temple was originaly built as a seminary for the priest of Lyra to study and learn from the lake geod and become better at healing the faithful but due to the fact that the faith of Lyra is very close to the Imperial Cult many empreror has given good amounts of money and resources towards making this cathedral a beacon of faith.

This sounds like a really great way to combine lots of power to a good cause :D I imagine the priests have stringent criteria on who is worthy so as to not "waste" the power...
