☆ Beevsten

Describe the common pets of one of your nations. (The common pet of Aariciati. Specifically Pride Chains)

Basic Information

Anatomy

Beevsten are very similar to a mix of a bee and a cat. They have thick fur, large ears, antennae, black and yellow stripe across their body, paws with no claws, stubby yet fluffy tails, and tiny wings.   ☆ WINGS Beevsten have tiny wings attached to their backs. Depending on how fast they flap them, they produce different musical notes and are often used as material in instruments. Beevsten can also be trained to play a song with their wings. For the Beevsten, their wings allow them to quickly escape predators and communicate with their fellow Beevsten while on the go.   ☆ ANTENNAE AND EARS The Antennae of a Beevsten allows it to smell predators more strongly. Even with their nose, since the Beevsten is one of the few creatures that has nectar blood, it needs extra smelling ability. A Beevsten's ears are big and fluffy, which allows for the Beevsten to tune more accurately.

Growth Rate & Stages

AGE 1 - 3 Beevsten grow in their eggs until they are 3 years old. Once they turn 3, they'll flap their wings and tune themselves to a note that shatters the egg.    AGE 3 - 5 The Beevsten has a thin layer of fur and their wings are currently bigger than their body and longer tails. Although the tail helps with balance, the baby Beevsten often falls over anyway.   AGE 5 - 10 Growth stages. The Beevsten learns to forage and it continues to grow into its wings. The tail sheds as the Beevsten ages.   AGE 10+ Fully grown Beevsten. The Beevsten can now be taught to compose. Beevsten's are at full size and can be bred.

Ecology and Habitats

Beevsten's in the wild live in Overgrown Flower Forests where they collect their nectar and bring it back to their trees. They cannot live in the cold as their wings freeze over, but when they were domesticated they were forced to live in the cold. Many domesticated Beevsten cannot fly. Too warm of an environment and the Beevsten will overheat from thick fur. Beevsten use the flowers for nectar and the trees of the forest for hiding. Many Beevsten burrow in high up trees with 2 or 3 other Beevsten. They collect flower petals and fur from other creatures to create a bed for their burrow.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Beevsten don't have charms but continue to survive off of Nectar. Luckily, the way they collect the nectar pollinates the flowers so more nectar can be collected. The Beevsten huddle up in groups of 4 and fly to the biggest or closest flower. They flap their wings and produce a tone that shatters open the shell around the nectar bubble. Then one or two Beevsten submerge themselves in the water and fold their wings into a cup form. The other Beevsten pick up the harvesters and fly them to their burrow where they empty the nectar into flower petals so they can consume the nectar or hide away.
