Gate of the Garden

The Gate of the Garden was a temple at the top of the Asan'ta Peak working as a magic portal connecting mortals with The Rainbow Citadel, the city of the Asantic Gods.

Creation

After the Diomilitia, the first true gods explored the lands of Lyssaria, and seeing its beauty decided they wanted to keep connected to the land and their people, but still decided to have a special place to inhabit: The Rainbow Citadel. They decided to use the highest mountain as the contact point between them and the mortals, this being the Asan'ta Peak. Using their magic, they forged a temple out of divine gold and nimintite with a portal in the center of it and called it The Gate of the Garden. The Rainbow Citadel was placed over the Gate, and people started to refer to the gods with the name of the mountain they inhabited: Asantic Gods.

Description

When a god wanted to visit Lyssaria, it was necessary to travel through the Gate because of the magical barrier that protected the Rainbow Citadel, not letting anyone in or out. On the opposite case, if a mortal man wanted to talk directly to the gods or dare to visit the Rainbow Citadel, it was necessary for them to climb the Asan'ta Peak and request an audience with the Gods.
The temple apart of a way of communication between Lyssaria and the Rainbow Citadel was also a place of adoration for the most faithful followers of the Asantic Gods. This followers prayed in front of a stele depicting the main gods of the Citadel. This shrine was decorated with the most beautiful plants of Lyssaria and was also inhabited by many exotic animals living in harmony inside the temple.

Defenses

The Gate of the Garden was heavily defended by Faithforged (warrior souls taken by the gods and placed in a divine construct) and celestials in the service of the Asantic Gods, in addition to arcane cannons of multiple types, defensive mechanisms and a multilayered magic barrier.

Important Events

During the attack of the Ressidian Empire against the Rainbow Citadel, the Gate of the Garden was one of the first places to be attacked. The guardians of the temple fought to the last soldier, but they were overwhelmed and the temple left in ruins.

Desaparition

After the ressidian attack and the Planeclash, there is no record if what happened to the Gate. Some erudites believe parts of the temple could be found in the Asan'ta Peak or in the mountains close to it, but no real clue is founded yet.
