Lance of Ressandro

The Lance of Ressandro is a lost spear of legend said to belong to the mythic ruler Ressandro Imperator.

The Power of the Lance

For starters, the Lance is said to be indestructible and the tip was able to penetrate any hide of a beast or any armor of a man. When commanded, the spear could shine as bright as the sun, blinding the opposing armies, and when needed, the spear could shoot fire and lighting. Most importantly, many consider the bearer of the Lance, the true heir to the Ressindian Empire.

Origins

It is said that during the Age of Legends, a small village in the zone known as "The Knife" was being attacked by giants. A young boy named Ressandro, out of bravery quickly crafted a simple spear made of bone and a sharp stone in hopes he could give his fellow villagers some time to escape while he fought the giants. Ressandro planted himself at the entrance of the village and tried to hurt the giants, but he only managed to make some cuts to the imposing figures. Ressandro was hit by one of the giant maces, and was knocked down for a moment with multiple wounds across his body. These wounds bled, but not red blood, but a shining golden blood that stained the spear Ressandro crafted, magically turning it into a beautiful lance made of celestial gold. Ressandro rose, defeating the giants with a newfound strength. The villagers began to worship Ressandro and promised to follow him wherever he went.

Rise and Fall

After this event, Ressandro began a unification of the tribes of the zone and legends began to appear around him. Some said that all his victories was thanks to his holy blood, others said that it was the spear that gave Ressandro his victories. No matter what version of the history you believed, Ressandro won all the battles in which he had the spear.
According to legends and historic writings, when Ressandro died, his son Krysos wanted to keep the spear with him, but his mother Palata wanted to bury the spear with his husband. There is a part of the legend that is incomplete, but the texts said that the spear was stolen by Krysos in some moment to be used in a battle in the eastern most part of the Empire, but a commander loyal to the wishes of the Palata stole it again and tried to return it to the grave of the late emperor.
Krysos and the soldiers loyal to him, followed the commander and his respective loyalists and fought in the region known as the Green Expanse. After this conflict the legend varies. Some say the commander managed to return it to the grave of Ressandro, others say enemies used the confusion to steal it and others say the spear is still lost in some place of the Green Expanse.

The search

In modern times, the Lance of Ressandro, along with his grave, is still lost. Many investigators have tried to follow different clues legends and historic records have given, but to no result.
