G-Seat

G-Seats are the seats used aboard starships to combat bruising, whiplash, and strain on astronauts under maneuvers. G-Seats are placed on gymbals and are able to orient themselves up to a 90° angle from the floor, always against the ship's vector of thrust. G-Seats are deep bucket seats with 4-point harnesses and cuffs for wrists, arms, and legs. G-Seats at crew posts have screens at the end of the armrest that integrate with the console, allowing the user to continue operating if only their fingers are mobile. Military-grade G-Seats can protect the user from bruising up to 22 g's.
