Orion Arm Republic

Originally founded in 1667, the Orion Arm Republic was an alliance between dozens of different interstellar states, built for mutual peacekeeping and defense. The Republic was founded following the First Orion War, fought against the expansionist Empire of Free Stars in 1660.
The guidelines for diplomacy set forth by the Republic's charter would prove their worth in the following century of cold war between the two burgeoning superpower species lalm and flotoor. In 2030 at the start of the Second Orion War the Republic crumbled.
