Week One: A New World Ember

World Ember is upon us once more! Beneath the frozen depths of December a volcano waits dormant, just waiting to erupt with hot, fiery worldbuiling lava.
My goal this year is 10K words. Based on past performance, this seems the most reasonable and achievable goal to me. This year I will be building the world of
Xaph, where I intend to put down the lore and worldbuilding for the setting of a game I intend to make with the same name. More details on that as I actually develop it. My area of focus for it is... everything. The world is so new not even the paint on the css has had time to dry yet. Despite the "unfocused" nature of my focus, I do have an increasingly lengthy TODO list of ideas that I want to write about, from Skeletons to Steel Witches and all things interesting in between.
Week 2: Revenge of the META
Oh no.
Writing Meta articles is something I have always struggled with and have largely ignored in the past.
Hmmm. Right then.
Here we go!
Next up is categories. I've already made a decent start on that, but I'll mostly be working on creating more I need as I go.
Week 3: Attack of the Homepage
So far the world only has one thing on it: the antagonist taunting the reader by laughing and declaring their presence. That seems like enough to... yeah alright, I should write more there.
Aaaand done! It's not much, but it at least serves as an introduction to the world.

So. Last minute prep time. Sadly, much of the advice isn't really relevant to me. Consistent writing schedules are practically impossible with my work pattern, and I've never been much for writing warm-ups. I
do need to tidy up my desk and browsers though...
