Curaslin

Blessed are the children of Atena Yegan. From Celreyelda they look out upon the world, possessed of long age and great magic, a fortress never breached and lands fertile and wealthy. The armies of humans often rise like a great wave that crashes at the feet of their mountain, while the people of Cura just laugh and order their slave to fetch them another drink. And so marches the slow decline of Cura, the fae kingdom.

Curaslin, the enchanted city-kingdom upon the continent of Lissimo, was founded before modern calendars. It is the home of the Cura, the fair children of Atena Yegan, the divine of the sky. With a population just over two million, the kingdom is home to almost every member of the species.
Much of the population of Curaslin lives within the city of Celreyelda, a heavily populated mount top fortress. Fertile forests spread out beyond the city, and many smaller settlements dot the landscape. The inhabitants of Curaslin speak the Curaseth tongue.

Structure

Curaslin is ruled by an absolute monarchy headed by the Mirarthglin, a hereditary position held by the ancient royal house of Jemlin.

History

The official Librarian of Celreyelda places the age of the city at 20,000 years. The city was founded by Atena Yegan for her seven children with Onorrodi, whose descendants would become the Cura.
Humans had just begun to settle Lissimo, and Atena saw the fertile coast on the continents east as a verdant land for her children to inherit. She sculpted the land to create a safe haven, raising a mountain and placing on its peak, overlooking the sea, a safe plateau for a city to be built. There she shaped a small keep of unbreakable stone and set down her children.
The kingdom has prospered since, and in her time her children ascended to be the Seven Spirits of Celreyelda, the guardian spirits of Curaslin.
