Resendulum

The resendulum is a newly developed musical artifact rapidly gaining popularity among the upperclasses and performing artists as an absolute must-have. The lovechild of runeworkers, artificers, diviners and bards, the resendulum plays music recorded into little glass discs, allowing people to bring their entertainment home without the accompanying performers. While it's currently a luxury for the well to do, as it gains popularity and manufacturing means are smoothed out, it will gradually find it's way down the classes until it's an everyday house item.   The resendulum is made of 8 segments, each connected through locking joints for ease of use, cleaning and part replacement. Every piece is carefully crafted and beautifully designed. It's as much an art piece as it is a utility. High paying customers can comission individualised designs - choosing listed metals, engraved designs and decorative gems to complete the piece.
