Kalligna

Crafted in secret by the skilled hands of the dwarves of Perrin Rock, she was designed to resemble a fire giant, both in appearance and in temperament. However, beneath her obsidian-like exterior lies an assortment of arcane power and magical energy, giving her powers beyond those of any ordinary giant.

Personal history

When the civil war ignited, the Children of Vaarbrunt wanted an edge for when the Grand Duchy marches further north. Their answer lay within the hands of dwarven craftsmen and arcane scholars that serve the New Bond in indentured servitude. In secret, the Children contacted these dwarves and commisioned a new project using the fires of the north. Over the course of the next year, the dwarves designed and created a construct of fire, obsidian and flesh. They named her Kalligna, and granted her to the Children in return for their eventual liberation from the New Bond.   Kalligna was recived by the giants with controversy. While some accepted her as a genuine member of giant-kind, many saw her as a false immitation, and nothing more than a weapon or a tool. Kalligna was subject to much dehumanization and abuse during her early days, and took this cruelty to heart. She now seeks to prove herself by excelling at the one thing she was created to do; destroy.   Vaarbrunt has personaly sent Kalligna on multiple missions to the south. Between besieging castles and pillaging settlements, she garnered a reputation to be feared. Even her fellow giants grew to fear Kalligna, and she was known to lash out at any who antagonize or disrespect her. Kallignas' most infamous deed was the Conquest of Frozen Tusk, a campaign that involved the deaths of thousands of northern settlers that opposed the Children.
