Saurians

The huge saurians are sentient, bipedal dinosaurs. Saurians generally share features with theropods with each high saurian house epitomising a distinct species. Saurians are known for their great strength and fortitude as well as their bright minds. Saurians have large heads with powerful jaws an have equally powerful tails. Their natural combat abilities are augmented by their weaponry which is as advanced as any species'. Saurians are often connected to the primal forces of the world and have innate spellcasting abilities to augment their physical prowess.

Saurians develop rapidly, growing to their full, huge size in just 20 years. A typical saurian can live into their 50s though many die in combat at younger ages. Saurians are most vulnerable before and just after hatching. Clutches of eggs are carefully guarded and kept in temperature controlled environments and carefully guarded from any potential threat. Most dangerous to saurian eggs are tiny mammalian creatures that sneak into the nesting chambers to eat through the eggs. Newly hatched saurians have no natural defenses and need constant monitoring until their hide thickens.
