Xulgaths

Scaled bipeds as ancient as the Giants, xulgaths, or troglodytes, are darkland-dwelling creatures that live in the ruined remains of cities or ziggurats their ancestors created.

Despite the primitive stone equipment most xulgaths wield, they are capable of producing terrifyingly intelligent individuals as well as individuals enhanced with overwhelmingly powerful muscles (and digestive systems).

Xulgaths might be the remnants of the ancestors of magically created races like the Caligni, Dero, Fetchlings, Morlocks, Mortics, Munavri or Urdefhan. Whether xulgaths created these offshoots or were changed by some outside force is unknown.
