The Age of Stagnation

After the Second War, Eacil was left a husk of its former self, and Denvar no longer existed, with its king ruling over depopulated lands in the north of Eacil, which were named Arun. Finally, a hundred years after the Second War, Ceril, being taxed heavily by Eacil in order to rebuild the nation, revolted and broke free of Eacil. And thus, Eacil was no more, replaced by Farcil.

Only Ayira remained as it once was, but even that was being generous. The Yezic, sensing weakness from the old empire, stepped up their invasion plans, and as Eacil no longer existed to aid them, it became increasingly harder to stave off the tribes. Seeing this, the capital of Ayira was moved further west, so as to protect the royal family from the Yezic.

Finally, the Aiyevanin, which during the Glorious Age and the Second War had numbered in the thousands for each generation, had slowly begun to decline, and with each successive generation the Aiyevanin declined in both strength and number, until none were left. It was said by one of the last Aiyevanin, Iru Thenor, that the Maker was reserving his strength and power for one last, great Aiyevanin, to lead the forces of Men against the Breaker, and to one day reunite the Eternal Spirit.

So far, no new AIyevanin have been born, and many Men believe that the next time the Breaker attacks will be the final hour of Man. Dead bodies are often burned, as this is seen as one of the only ways to prevent them from being added to the Breaker's army (how true this is, none know). Military sizes across all nations have been greatly increased, and everything in the western nations is devoted to staving off the inevitable.
