Alexander Kowalski, PhD
Aleksander Kowalski is a lecturer at the Warsaw Academy for Magical Arts. He specializes in Magic Theory and researches the true nature of magic. In recent years he leans more and more towards the theory about it being the lifeforce of all living beings.

Personal history
Aleksander was born and raised in Warsaw. There he went to school and attended the Warsaw Academy for Magical Arts. He graduated his master's studies in 1988 and immediately after he started his PhD studies. Most of his academic teachers considered them one of their best students and with some of them he later became friends.
Education
Alexander studies magic theory at the Warsaw Academy for Magical Arts. From a young age he was fascinated by how magic works and what exactly it is. Learning and practicing new spells was never his thing. He wanted to go deeper in his understanding of magic.
Employment
During his studies, Aleksander worked part-time at a bookstore to earn a little bit of money to be independant. He was also giving private lessons in magic to high school students. On these sources of income, and some support from his parents, he managed to live until the getting his PhD. Then, he was employed at the Warsaw Academy for Magical Arts.
Social
Family Ties
Aleksander has a wife, Marta, and a 19-year-old son, Adam. They are a pretty "normal" family. All three of them are magic-users. Marta is a primary school teacher and Adam is a high school who doesn't know what he wants to do in life.
Religious Views
Although raised in a catholic family, Aleksander isn't a very religious person. He doesn't go to church on Sunday. On the other hand, he and his family celebrate Christmas and Easter. For them these are more folk holidays than religious ones.
