Cooking with Mammoth Fat By: Bundo Marblepot

Introduction:

 
When in doubt, use mammoth fat.
 

Seal Flipper Pie:

Ingredients:

 
  • 10 Seal Flippers
  • Salt
  • One Onion
  • Five Snap Peppers
  • One Garlic Cluster
  • One Chunk Of Mammoth Fat
  • One Parsnip
  • Ale
  • Water
  • Whiskey
  • One Ball Of Pastry Dough
  • One Block Of Mammoth Cheese
 

Directions:

 
  • Season the cleaned flippers with salt.
  • Cook onion, peppers, and garlic in a large pot with a chunk of mammoth fat, shortly after adding the flipper to cook on both sides for a few minutes or until crispy.
  • Add parsnips and ale and cook till soft.
  • Add water and whiskey till the flippers are submerged.
  • Cover pot and let the mixture boil for near 3 hours.
  • Remove the liquid and make a gravy.
  • Add meat and vegetable mixture to a pan with dough in it.
  • Add gravy over the top and cover with more pastry.
  • Place back in the oven and cook until the pastry is golden brown.
  • Cover in Mammoth Cheese and more gravy.
   

Fish Sticks:

Ingredients:

 
  • Ten Ice Gulpers
  • Green Reeds For Cooking
  • Mammoth Fat
  • Shaved Garlic

Directions:

 
  • Cut a large green stick and fashion a point at one end.
  • Run the stick through the fishes mouth and into the tail of the fish.
  • Cover the fish in mammoth fat and chopped garlic.
  • Put the fish over an open fire and continue to wipe mammoth fat onto the Fish as it cooks.
  • Once the fish is crispy and burnt, it is ready.
   

Fried Goose:

Ingredients:

 
  • Four Goose Breasts
  • Flour
  • Salt
  • One Chunk Of Mammoth Fat
  • Pinch of Rosemary
  • Sourdough Bread Roll
  • Goat Cheese
  • Chopped Onions
 

Directions:

 
  • Prepare fresh goose breast by placing in a flour bath.
  • Season with salt.
  • Fry Goose Breast in a pot of Mammoth fat and Rosemary.
  • Place in a bread roll with goat cheese and onions.
   

Baked Rabbit

 

Ingredients:

 
  • Mammoth Fat
  • Five Rabbits
  • Ale
  • Splash of seawater
  • One Cluster of Garlic
  • Pinch of Thyme
  • Salad of choosing
   

Directions:

 
  • Heat mammoth fat in the pan until hot.
  • Section rabbit into four pieces and place them into the hot pan.
  • Place ale, seawater, garlic, and thyme into the pan.
  • Sear on either side to make the rabbit crisp.
  • Bake in the oven for 5 minutes, then flip and cook another 5 minutes.
  • Serve with Salad
Bundo was born in the year 1469 to Higra and Jarl Marblepot. His family specialized in the butchering of animals and trading in meats. From an early age, he was surrounded by meat, vegetables, and spices from the various vendors and travelers that would travel to Culvingarrd. He soon grew an appetite to turn the food he loved into something more and was made the head chef of Culvingarrd at the young age of 24. He was well known for his recipes on Seal Flippers, Fish Sticks, and one of the Queens favorite recipes, Goose fried in Mammoth fat.
