Ruvana Onyxborn

The scourge of Lahar

Introduction

In the early years of the First Age, a great war broke out between the Kingdoms of Lahar, Worheim, and Mynari dubbed the "Red Fog Wars." The war plummeted a great many people into chaos and ruin as each side fought for more power in the realm. During the war, a great many hostages were taken by the realm of Lahar; most were never seen again. The Slag elves that rule this land worshiped the great volcano Gol and sacrificed a great many prisoners to feed the appetite of the massive volcano.

Hero Of Wolveshire:

In the kingdom of Wolveshire in the far northern reaches of Worheim, a great many heroes are known to these people. Atop the list of great heroes lies Ruvana Onyxborn "The Dagger of Night." She trained as a young princess in the art of stealth warfare. As a child, she was fascinated with the cats in the castle and how they moved from one place to the other with little ease and almost no noise. She also trained day and night in Poisons, hand to hand combat and the art of stealth combat.

Ruvanas Journey:

During the war, many prisoners from her home kingdom were awaiting their death sentences before the High Chieftan of the Slag Elves. They were being held in an obsidian mine a days journey from the mouth of the volcano. She traveled to the realm of Lahar completely unseen, with the intent on freeing the prisoners.   It is said that she shot poison-tipped darts into near a dozen guards that night, stabbed near four others in the belly and threw another off a wall. She managed to make it in the holding pens and released near 247 prisoners that night who made it onto a boat waiting for them on the northern borders of Lahar. Ruvana was not as lucky that night, as she searched more in-depth into the mine shaft, she was cornered and captured.

The End:

The great chieftain held a grand trial after the events that unfolded the night before. All of the guards that she shot with darts had their skin melt off before the sun rose, left in a pile of bones and blood. Others were found with stab wounds, and one was found mangled beneath the southern wall. For her crimes, the High Chieftan declared that she should be thrown into the Volcano as an offering of great strength.

Tomb:

In the hall of the Saints of Irial High in the Blackfoot mountains lays an empty grave with a plaque detailing her prowess that night she saved hundreds of her kin. She will be remembered in the realm of Worheim for many generations to come.

Ruvanas Other Deeds:

Although Ruvana is highly renowned for her exploits against the Kingdom of Lahar on that fateful night during the Red Fog Wars, she is also well known for her other actions in life. Many of which were directed to the less fortunate in the kingdoms.

Homeless & Poor:

Ruvana created many ways to incorporate the citizens who were less fortunate or down on their luck. She created a large Shelter that was built quite near to the Pantheon Of Irial. The civilians who were down on their luck or couldn't find work could be sheltered here and put to work in the Pantheon. Some even became Saints of Irial as they stayed and worked for the Pantheon.
