The Sour Cebaco Fruit Challenge

What is the food: The Sour Cebaco Fruit   Is it Rare? The fruit only grows in the Nation of Zurrican. Only available during a certain time of year.  Where does it grow:   What does the fruit look like: The fruit has a white skin with a bright green inside. Round fruit that is grown on small viny bushes that attach to trees. The fruit is relatively small near the size of a grape. The fruit is extremely sour and is not to be eaten by small children as it can be quite painful.    What type of Preparation: The fruit is eaten in many different varieties.  Raw: The purest way to eat the fruit. The skin can be eaten with the fruit. Most of the sour chemicals are found near the skin. Removing the skin will cause the fruit to be less sour....even without the skin the fruit is still quite hard to eat.  Candy: Small hard candies are made. An award is given to the candy with the best pucker. Baked: Baked Pies are a common item to be found at the festivities  Drink: A lemonade type drink is made by adding the fruit and sugar to water. (The sugar doesn't help much.)   Any Stories or Myths Based on the food:    What was the original reason for creating the first event: There was a tale of an Ukari Explorer who got lost. When he was lost his only food source available to him was a bush of Ripe Cebaco fruit. He was forced to eat the fruit in order to stay alive. The fruit was extremely ripe and the riper the fruit the more sour the bite. He had to suffer the extreme sour of the fruit in order to live. To this day they celebrate the fruit as a fun challenge and reminder to always be resourceful and keep fighting even when the odds are against you.  Why is the food so integral: It's a rare fruit. It is extremely sour and provides entertainment during the festivities as the Ukari taste all the sour concoctions.    When does the celebration take place: At the transition from summer to fall as the fruit are the most ripe. The more ripe they get the more sour chemical they are able to create making for a potent fruit.    Any Traditions associated with the event: Sour Candy Eat off: Eat the sour candy without puckering. Who can eat the most sour candies at one time. Sour Pie eating Contest. Who can eat the 40 Cebaco fruit the fastest?    Size of the events(City, Village, Family): Kingdom and village. The celebration are a way of uniting the kingdoms and people in fun traditions and challenges.
