Kraan

A large leathery beast that is a smaller subspecies of Zlanbeast used by the Darklords as flying mounts for their Giaks, Nadziranim and Vordaks. Kraan are bred in the pits of Helgedad. Kraan have black tongues, long serrated beaks, and grey-green hides.

The body of a Kraan is equivalent in size to a horse, making it capable of carrying 1-2 humanoid riders.

Anatomy

The kraan has two wings, a broad shouldered back, and two leges. Its head lies at the end of a long neck.

Unkown.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Kraan is a carnivore, and left untended will go on long flights looking for food before settling in for long rest periods.

Behaviour

Kraan are hyper-aggressive and will attack anything smaller than they are if approached.

Kraan are used by the Darklords and their servants as mounts.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The kraan is used to navigating in dark caves, and has more sensitive vision. It receives a +2 to visual perception checks only to offset darkness modifiers.

Kraan coloring tends to darker shades of brown and green.
