Nockmort
Elder Nockmort
Nockmort was a large treant (over 30' tall) that lived to be over 400 years old. He was a very learned treant and journeyed to Eldenora in MS 5067 to investigate the rumors that there was a secret forest growing underground.
He discovered a large cavern complex and dubbed it the Sunless Garden. The flora there sustained itself on emanations of the crystallin structures embedded in the walls there. Nockmort stayed there to study the emanations and over the decades became steadily poisoned. He lost his mind and eventually struck out against the human village of Garland's Fork.
He used his own alchemical knowledge, and ancient druidic magic to transform the human villagers that lived north of Ashterton into plant growth.
He was slain by the members of the Lion's Pride when their investigation led them to The Sunless Garden .
