Telepathy Discipline
Telepathy consists of the ability to create a connection between the user's mind and another's. Once that connection is made, the telepath can often exert control over the target's mind. At the core, Telepathy is about perceiving and manipulating the thoughts of another. Less commonly, Telepathy can be used to manipulate one's own mind. Telepathy is the most well known of the psionic disciplines. Some of the possible applications include:
A beginning character that is a practitioner of Telepathy will begin with an assortment of psionic powers as defined by their point expenditure. The number of powers as well as the strength of those powers that a Psionicist may wield will increase as the character spends points on crafting new powers as well as increasing the powers that they already know.
- Perceiving the thoughts of another
- Controlling the thoughts and perceptions of another
- Finding someone by "listening" for their thoughts
- Manipulating a target's emotions

Hero System Specifics
Perk: Telepathy, 5 character points- This Perk represents the years of study it requires to be able to use telepathy psionically
- If a Psionicist has purchased the Perk: Full Psionicist, the Telepathy Perk is unnecessary
- This Skill represents a character's ability to translate their abilities into actual physical effect
- Effects of Power Pool limited to Telepathic effects, -1/2
- All powers within the power pool require a Psionics Skill check, -1/2
