The Kidnapping of Lord Lionel

Criminal Activity

Lionel is kidnapped while he is attending school at the University of Varetta. A demand for ransom is sent to Baron Corvis who dispatches Lord Gael Quislan to recover his son.   Lord Gael Quislan hires the individuals who will eventually form the Lion's Pride and they successfully recover Lionel from his captors. None of the kidnappers survive the encounter.

Lionel is kidnapped by opportunistic criminals while he is attending school at the University of Varetta. A demand for ransom is sent to Baron Corvis.

Corvis and his court wizard, Antar Crown , conspired to steal the collected ransom and send a ransom of fake jewels and money in their stead. Baron Corvis had never truly accepted Lionel and saw this as an opportunity to rid himself of his adopted son. He chose to enlist Lord Gael Quislan, a noble he saw as a minor threat, to deliver the fake ransom fully expecting it to be the end of both of them.

Lord Gael Quislan, suspecting something, hires the individuals who will eventually form the Lion's Pride and they successfully recover Lionel from his captors. None of the kidnappers survive the encounter.

Upon Lionel 's return to Duadon, Baron Corvis executed Antar Crown and blamed him for the ransom mishap.
