Following the The Doomsday Dalesmen first encounter wtih the Company of the Cowl, Dalistaron Kamenminya decides he needs to learn how to be stealthy. The Dalesmen parley their past victories in the area to secure Thieve's Guild training from the Halian Thieve's Guild.

The Dalesmen spend a week in Saldor resting while Dalistaron Kamenminya is being trained by Lharae Kamenminya, the Fat Man's daughter. What starts as a contentious relationship, grows into a romance that was heavily discouraged by the Fat Man.
