The Red Scourge of Arik resulted in the destruction of the Haven's Keep.
The discovery of an Eye of Arik resulted in a red magical field of decay. Complete disaster was only averted through the intervention of The Circle .

The Red Scourge of Arik resulted in the destruction of the Haven's Keep. The miners of Haven discovered a large ruby. Not knowing it was magical artifact known as an Eye of Arik, they gifted it to the Princess of Haven.   When the knight Ellis appeared in Haven, Arik extended his will from his Daziarn prison and through the gem. His magics caused an explosion of delicate alchemical substances in the Keep, surrounded the area with a deadly red haze, and sent a summons to the giaks and darkspawn living in the neighboring mountains.   Luckily, the mage Mirabilis used a powerful summoning scroll and called The Circle to Haven. They explored the keep, braving the summoned darkspawn, and sundered the Eye of Arik. Following the Red Scourge of Arik, The Circle remained for a short time to assist in the reconstruction.   Based on the Dungeons and Dragons Module
