The Black Phoenix
The Black Phoenix (1084 - Today) is an inn in Cacester, serving as the headquarters for the Guild of Cacester. The guild used to serve the royal family, as assassins and spies for the Kingdom of Eniria . After their organization was disbanded, many members went on to have normal lives, while some fell into the world of crime. A few however, recreated the organisation in Cacester, publicly named "The Guild of Cacester". Here the few remaining members performed secret operations, while recruiting new members. Men and women from all over Thiva travel to The Black Phoenix, just to join the Guild. Most are rejected, however, as the Guild only takes the finest members. Nevertheless, the owners of the inn, close friends of the Guild, have grown rich from the tourism, while giving a part of their income to the guild.
The Inn is owned by Robert Phorcus , whose own son, Henry, is a member of the guild. Robert himself has never done any such work, as he is quite obese and short. Because of these unfortunate characteristics, he is often mocked by the people of Cacester, who don't know about his ties. The public knows that the guild resides in his inn, but most assume he has been forced to let them stay there, by the guild. Furthermore, most don't know the extent of the operations of the guild. They assume they're just someone you go to, when someone isn't paying their loans back, and needs a good beating. The guards of Cacester has allowed the Guild to exist, as they too believe this, and believe that they only help keep the law and order in Cacester.
Purpose / Function
To the public, the inn is there for the people to go drink and have fun. But the real reason, is to provide a secret headquarter for the Guild. The only reason it hasn't shut down yet, is because of the Guild.
