The palace is used not only for housing the Daimyo and his family, but also a majority of prominent government officials, their families and is even open to some of the city-state's greatest artists and craftsmen. It is considered a great honor to be invited to dwell within the palace, and an even greater honor for your art to be displayed there. Even the servants quarters are intricately decorated, and furnished well enough to make some foreign nobles envious.
Purpose / Function
The primary purpose of the palace is to house the most important people in the city as well as their families. Another purpose is to be the crown jewel of their art filled island, being an incredible display of the proud people's industrious nature and skilled craftsmen.
