Agmāri Pantheon

The Deities

The Agmāri Pantheon is composed of three main circle of gods, the inner circle being the most reverred. Every god is represented by an animal, and it is believed every such animal is an incarnation of the gods.

The Triad

The most inner circle, composed of the three main gods of the pantheon. Every other deity is under the influence of one of them.

The lion, representing justice, kindness, perseverance.
Color: Red.
Shape: Rhombus.
Major temple in Dākur.

The crocodile, representing passion, anger, loyalty.
Color: Yellow.
Shape: Square.
Major temple in Eskaras.

The toucan, representing harmony, wisdom, responsability.
Color: Pale blue.
Shape: Circle. Major temple in Sotiel.

The Hexad

The middle circle, composed of the twin gods.

Ebode, the dolphin, and Raol, the bee.

Rosk, the eagle, and Nise, the gorilla.

Dātala, the cockroach, and Taxa, the cat.

The Dodecad

The most outer circle.

Lorimar, the ant.

Ilrok, the armadillo.

Laskova, the wolf.

Saragana, the flamingo.

Māþa, the prying-mantis.

Sanil, the tiger.

Rinez, the shark.

Esturix, the ostrich.

Depmato, the snake.

Kasova, the grasshopper.

Varik, the panda.

Utro, the otter.

The Canvas

Includes every minor gods who fall outside of the circles.

Clergy

Historically, priests were the first hybrids, turning into animals for prayers. Nowadays, any species can become a priest, although a hybrid of the same animal as the god worshipped is indeed more common.


Every deity has a major temple somewhere in Agmār, and every town can build a new temple to any deity. It is common for households to have a small altar or altars for the deity/deities the house worship.
