Sword of the Moon

A dark blood-red sword, made from a polished crystal; dual-edged, with metal fixings, made from the bone slag of an extinct species of Drakynkind. It has no guard, the blade and the handle flow seamlessly into each other.
The sword is said to house a fragment of Nwacul, the Goddess of the Moon's spirit inside it, who will speak to the wielder.

History

According to Drakynfly legend, the sword was made from a shard of the Moon, itself. Nwacul granted the sword to the first Moon Magus, however the sword was taken, after the death of the first Magus, and the sword was lost for many years. It eventually resurfaced in the Middle Realms, under the possession of the Giants. The Drakynfly reclaimed it from them in the Battle of Nias Peak, despite them having no reason to due so. The Drakynfly neither worship Nwacul, nor do they interact with the Magi. They kept the blade until the Master's took it from them, several decades later.

Powers

The only inherent ability is its indestructibility; the sword is nearly impossible to harm. Other than that, it gives no advantage to a common wielder. However, if wielded by a Moon Magus, the sword is said to glow like the moon, blinding its enemies, and destroying anything it touches, disintegration metal, wilting plants with a brush, and instantly killing any being it contacts, if that is the wish of the Magus.

Significance

The sword is the only known physical manifestation of the mysterious entity calling herself the "Nwacul", and as such, would be worshiped as the God they believe her to be, if the Fei ever knew of its existence.
