The Realm of Maldesch, along side the continent which is named after, was created in the multiverse by the ones known as the Planeswalkers. These individuals came forth together, forging a realm as a test of their might and magic, and as well as a place to call a sanctuary. With their combine efforts, they were able to forge Maldesch, creating a single continent using the very magic of the multiverse.   After their Creation, the Lowryn, or Original 5, they split the continent into the 5 regions representing their magic the most. Ajani took the plains of north, and called that region Goldsmane. This area was home to his own race, the Leonin. Home to the grandest capital in all of Maldesch, Jura, many paladins, clerics and fighters come and make this their home or even a base of operations.   Jace and Chandra, two who would be opposites yet with the similar spirits, made the South Region theirs. Splitting it by creating a region filled with mountains and valleys, and creating a metropolis that bordered the sea. The name of this city was known as Belaar. This Metropolis is powered by the fire of the volcano and the Pelenor Sea, thus mostly known as the City of Steam. Here, mechanical constructs thrive and assist aspiring minds to discern the world around them, and understand how to manipulate the very magic that surrounds them and the multiverse. The region, known as Naleren, is peppered by valleys and mountains, a security added by the two to provide protection to those who choose to follow knowledge.   The simply named Western region of Markov, is anything but simple. Those that go there must beware of the dark stench of death that looms around every corner. Horrific creatures and creations call this region home, but mostly, the undead who look to make unwary adventurers into their next victim. Lilliana made this home as a place to study the unlife, and various curses. The Capital city of Vess is home to the only College of Necromancy in this plane. While the others who live in the region condemn this region, they know full well not to provoke a war with them, as that region of Muer knows something that all dread; death is not the end, but simply a hurdle that can be easily overcome if one knows its secrets.   Finally, the region to the East, Revane or also known as the Consuming Forest. This expands the majority of the eastern side of the Maldesch. Those wanting to travel to its Capital City, The Wilds Peak, must ensure that they have either a guide or that they are fully prepared to encounter big beasts. Many adventuring party wander into these forest, only to lose their lives to the creatures that dwell and protect the Capital City.
