Click-Clack

Click-Clack is a kenku who appears in the Adventure Appendices. He is played by I.W.

Description

Appearance

As a kenku, Click-Clack resembles a humanoid crow, though instead of wings he has arms that closely resemble bird talons. He is fairly average for a kenku, covered in black feathers and sporting beady black eyes. Many would not be able to distinguish him from others, a trait that he has often used to his advantage. Because of this, he wears fairly plain and dull clothing, with a tattered cloakover his shoulders. What sets him apart from other kenku is that he is exceptionally tall, nearly six feet in height and towering over most of his kind.

Personality

With the Curse of Mimicry he suffers like the majority of his kind, Click-Clack is well aware that few will understand him and he takes the opportunity to joke around. He is a fun and mischievous person in the right company. He is a very timid and submissive subordinate to his employers. He clearly fears them and does what he can to appease them.

Biography

Background

Raised by his family in the back alleys of Westfall, Click-Clack was born into a family of hired criminals. Due to his height, he often stood out too much to be of much use when skulking around, so he would often be left behind when the rest of the family was doing a job. He dedicated his time to improving his innate talent of making forgeries in the time spent alone. He even began showing impressive talents for duplicating objects and not just documents, catching the attention of The Vermin. He was recruited by the White Hats to make copies of priceless heirlooms and treasures so that fakes could be left in place of the real articles, taking a lot of heat off of the crime syndicate and greatly increasing their revenue. His name is not actually spoken, but is a sharp noise that he mimics that his friends and co-workers have made the colloquial spoken 'click-clack' as the way they address him.

Relationships

Jacques De Rues

Click-Clack found a friend in Jacques as the human seemed to be one of the few remaining 'Gentlemen Thieves' he still worked with. While communication was difficult at first, the two bonded while Click-Clack worked on pieces for Jacques and the two would come to lament the direction the syndicate had gone. Even with his fear of White Feather and his new regime, Click-Clack still readily helps Jacques any way he can, even if he tries to keep it quiet.

White Feather

White Feather has a deep appreciation for Click-Clack's work for The Vermin, and while it seemed ammicable in the beginning, the crime leader would end up resorting to coercion and blackmail to keep the forger in check. Click-Clack feels trapped and despises White Feather for his situation.

A Hostile Takeover

Click-Clack is eager to see White Feather Feather taken out of power. He decided to help Jacques De Rues however he can to take down the Vermin leadership.

Legacy

• Click-Clack forged a copy of the Rod of Rulership that belonged to King Brendan of Westfall. The forgery is now in the hands of Undesirables member, Romeo.
