Current Year: 2003 "Year of Fate"

A strange world, similar to ours, that has mysteries, creatures, and intrigue seeped into the lands. In the shadows, some forces are moving to control the world and make the people obedient. Yet, there are heroes who fight against these monsters and villains.   The mortal realm lies on the opposite side of the Aether to the Other Realm, at least, that is the name that mortals have given it. Magic comes from that realm, and so do many of the monsters that threaten the mortal realm. These creatures are known by many names, and while not all are evil; their motives on the Material Plane are suspect. THey have formed loose societies known as courts; the most prevalent of them is the Fae Court.   Once these creatures resided in Malliuth and the Other Realm but since then they have faded into folklore and mystery. People can still find out about these beings but it takes knowledge, curiosity, and knowing where to look. Most of the people in power in Malliuth have come to hide this knowledge away for with the knowledge comes power.
