Crusaders Court

A glorified and glory-seeking group, the Crusader’s Court is religion based in mercenary work. While not directly evil, the doctrines of the band places victory over another to be the ultimate test of right and wrong. Followers are taught that moral high ground is on the side whoever is still standing. All that belonged to the loser is to pass on to the winner and to be used in its entirety to fuel the next conquest. The victor writes the history books. The Crusader’s Court is often hired on in others’ wars to the Court’s gain in payment beforehand, plunder along the way, and reward at the end. A strict militant hierarchy based on power, experience, and rightfully earned rank in both combat and religious conduct prevents the organization from crumbling into chaos.
Beliefs and Practices: Regularly scheduled tournaments are held to define and stabilize ranking within the order. Those who are proven to act dishonorably are branded with the slashed court and excommunicated.
Holy Symbol: A maroon field with a white ladder-like double ring that represents the court. Individual troop heraldry is placed inside the court.
Temple Rarity: Common
