Skaldir: The Sovereign Scepter

This lost weapon dates back to the Age of Heroism. Passed around from hero to hero, Skaldir became a forecaster of rising promise. Infused with enchantments and crafted from rare metals, this scepter has served in the hands of battlefield knights, anointed lords, and as the side are of sorcerers. Tradition has it that a hero in possession of the Sovereign Scepter determine a deed or principal that determines who should earn the next line in succession.

The last owner of Skaldir was Lord Virgil Gho of Dulaine, being a small barony annexed into Riscor-Calashen. Records state that he decreed the next owner of the Sovereign Scepter be someone of pure heart, strong conviction, and unwavering focus. Rather than bequeathing Skaldir to the one who earned it, he place it behind a challenge to be claimed. At the time, the exact challenge to earn the weapon was more openly known. However, due to the challenge being one of distraction, corruption, and hurdles, its widely known specifics have grown vague over time.
