Unspoken: Prayer to a Zephyr

Continue on, Eternal Traveler
On your path you must go
Seek out those sights so precious
That once you used to know
Rest here for the evening
Rest for the day
Stay here as long as you like
Before going where’re you may
I have but one favor
That I will ask of you my guest
Carry on this message for me
And those who hear it, please bless

You who have climbed the icy peaks
And slid down all of their slopes
Traversed mighty ranges
And brought with you all of their hopes
Guide my dear one’s feet to sure ground

You who have soared across meadows
With a wake left in the grass
Skimmed wild rye from the waves
To leave in foreign lands that you pass
Speed my dear one unto the destination with all haste

You who have danced among sylvan spotlights
And around steadfast trees
Tumbling among forgotten leaves
Unhindered by locks, existing with no keys
Give my dear one the grace to weave a path around adversity

Continue on, Eternal Traveler
On your path you must go
Seek out those sights so precious
That once you used to know
I know that you will not stay long
And much sooner we will part
Just stay one more moment longer
Before your journey is to start
Long have I missed my dear one
That you will see long before I
Please pass on this message for me
And your enveloping embrace as you fly
