The brewery was created shortly after Captain Castel's retirement from the 4th fleet. After filling some paperwork with the navy to gain rights for his name in exchange of a percentage of donation to the kingdom, Mister Rodrigo invested in numerous architects and workers to create his brewery. Thanks to contacts from many ports, he managed to get good quality assets and a trade route of spices, yeast, rye and sugar to start producing alcoholic goods. He encountered a rather good success early in business, selling nearby ports and the navy itself. But his work gain international reknown for his kraken ink rhum, which he finished his first production about 4 years before his death.

A big friend of the family and former second in command, the elf Solomon Grandy became chief executive after the captain's death. Unfortunately, few members of the family wanted to follow the old man's passion, and such it was given responisbility to the elf for a large paycheck, keeping the brewery as a secondary money gain for the nobles.
