Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Elisée is rather lithe and having a moderate musculature, for being to marine life, but downgraded because of her more sedentary lifestyle as of old. she has rather strong shoulders.

Facial Features

Elisée is missing her left eye, which she has a scar around the eye socket made by a scimitar. he scar goes up to the left side. Her eyebrows are thiccer near the middle of her face, which thins out. she has 3 gold teeth; 2 on the top ones, canines on each side, and a bottom one incisor, riggle in the middle.the incisor one is sharpened like the canines. Her bottom lip also has a cut on the right side.

Identifying Characteristics

The biggest identify feature of Elisee is her eyepatch on the left eye. It is rumored to be magical. Made with black silk, gold embroidery imitates a eye sigil found in many ancient ruins of al-talyf.

Her cape also has a giant hyena skull on her right side that protects the entirety of her shoulder.

Apparel & Accessories

Élisée usual apparel is a light leather armor covered with breathable tissues, with long silk pantaloons. she wears short heels, but the most eclectic part of her clothing is a huge cape with side fold going up. the cape goes around red-purple tones, with a particular design: everytime she killed a -----, she paints a gold line on it, every 5th stroke being slighly longer. a full circle has been done , and a bigger second one is in progress, looking about half done. she has a total of 53 kills marked on it. Her cape is hold on herself but a front medaillon that serves as an anchor point. on the medaillon is golden and represent a skull having two canines in the shape of scimitars.the medaillon has some ornament ropes under it.

She always has on her a sheated scimitar and a flintlock pistol on her belt.

Personal history

Elisee encountered hardship since birth since she was branded with a divine symbol of ----- on her. For her parent, an active merchant in (town), this was seen as an omen.
During childhood and through teenhood, Elisee encountered very strict and abusive behaviour from her father for even the most mundane of reasons. Her sister, on the contrary, was deemed to follow a path of paladinate, and she tried to protect her forsaken sister most of the time. however, when she had to leave to continue her training, familial tensions rose. Beatings and arguments were common, and her mother couldnt do much. For this reason, Elisee went to stay longer in the slums to avoid as much interactions as possible, meeting the wrong kind of people. She also attempted suicide nearby rock formations until she was convinced not to.

When she went close to adulthood, she covered her angst through alcohol and isolation. But as an opportunity , she entered as a stowaway on a pirate ship to get away from her local town. She, however thanks to her symbol, was accepted by the pirates and learned the ropes during some years. She became the ship's priestess and councilor through her canny wisdom and divine powers she honed through time.

Some years later, when stopping on a nearby town on the shore of Al-Talif, she heard rumors about her sister and her order fighting monsters on a more seclude village. She got the captain's blessing to leave the ship until she settled her affairs. With some spare money and information gathering, she joined a troupe of mercenary paid by the palace to investigate the issues there. After weeks of fighting, she managed to get her sister back alive, but shattered: she had been used as a slave for numerous purposes by the --- king. In the aftermath, her order sent her to a relief house to recover from the trauma, which may never happen. Infuriated, she put the blame entirely on her father, which she traveled with the sole purpose to kill him for her own hands. After commiting fatricide, her mother was too much affected by the years of abuse she couldnt bring her back to the village she helped saving. she then went back, and never felt more alone.

As for herself, Elisee, in a need of a pause or something to change her mind, gather some acquaintances she made in her journey to rebuild a popular inn in the village, contributing in the rebuild. This way, she managed a limited connection to her skills by keeping the riverside trade afloat, but also by using the inn as a hub for black market. Despite developing a knack for the business, and being quite initimidating in haggling, she filled her hole with more alcohol which she didnt lacked of. Only her three bodyguards keeps her in check until now.

Elisée had a rather good education until teenage years. Her parents made her attend a guild economics but she only learned basic knowledge before dropping out. A part of her base education got lost with time, forgotten in alcohol.
She is however proficient in sailing lore and tasks to make a ship sail smoothly.

Employment

Élisée worked on a pirate ship under the command of captain Cormorah for half a decade.
After leaving to find back her sister and planning to kill her father, she after that spent eight years managing a bar she obtained as a reward . Her desire to sail back was still present, but the opportunity to get money of the black market and treasure hunting nearby ruins was too good to pass up.

Morality & Philosophy

Elisée believes any value left by their owners is open to be looted. For her, these kinds of treasures are no use being lost and unused. She is also not moral enough to rob people if she needed, but now, she prefers making use of her connections to get what she wants indirectly. She usually dont feel the need to kill for fun, but believe in gruesome retaliation into passing a message, which she did on numerous time before settling on her tavern.

Motivation

For a while, Elisée motivations were to get revenge on those that harmed her sister, but also to kill her abusive father.

But since both had been solved, she went into some sort of depression toward the aftermath and having yet things to aim for. She wishes, deep inside, to get back on sailing, but her mental state works against her, filling her days with alcohol abuse and isolation. So she satisfies herself to keep a tavern afloat and profitable.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Elisée has a tendency to overdo any act of generousity and abuse of it. A glass of wine ? shell take the bottle and refills to heart content. Offered some materials as thanks, she'll take the full crate. She never tries to self-restraint herself on that aspect. She is however a strong bargainer, anybody on her side of the affairs can be sure she'll take the most of a deal.

She has however no real sense of etiquette and she is rather straight to the point.

Élisée gathered enough gold for her to buy her own lands and a settlement, thanks to looting an entire contingent of -----. However, she doesn't really spend it, leaving it secured and hidden with a platoon of skeletons. She keeps the tavern afloat with her benefits and occasional black market's cut when she serves and an host for trade. She is easily the wealthiest person in town.
