Aurum Nomine
When you see this banner on the field of battle, you know their patrons considered you a big enough threat to send a platoon that could trample on the lands of Hell itself to erase you from the history books.
Structure
There are three named main roles in Aurum Nomine. The highest rank is the Crown, the leader in battle, face of the organisation and respected amongst his peer for his shared intellect and physical sharpness. Since their foundation, only when the Crown dies can is testament give power to a new one.
The second , the Scepter, is usually the most versed in diplomatics and financial savyness. He acts as main treasurer, takes care of the soldier's payment and requests, but also barters and negotiates terms of contracts with town owners and nobility.
The third one, the Glaive, is the tactical second-in-command, keeps check of the army's morale and training, and is often the most skilled fighter in the organisation if the Crown isn't. The glaive is always expected to keep the army under his command if the Crown is not capable or absent for any reason.
The guards assigned to personnal protection of those three all have a specific gemstone on their masterwork helmets. Rubies for the Glaive, Blue for the Scepter and Diamond for the Crown.

The Aurum Nomine , through the years, hold a high reputation of efficency and power. Thus, they offer their service to the highest bidder. But aside from some territorial wars, those mercenaries also offers their services regarding the recuperation of artefacts and old treasures. However, the Aurum often negotiate a high percentage of the treasure found for covering their losses and the risk.
