Basic Information

Anatomy

Buskebors are bipedal creatures, having two arms and a head like most humanoids. They have a natural endormorph muscular structure due to their large shoulders,ribcage and hips. They have fur, but the density is lesser from the armpits to the pelvic bone in front. Their towering silhouette makes them a bit similar to hybrid werebears, but they have a different skull structure, which ressembles more of a deer without antlers, but as if it adapted to a carnivorous diet, having more prominent canines to tear flesh and wider lips passing near the cheeks which makes them able to eat from the side of their jaw. Most of them have a tendency to what feels like they are hunched because of their body mass distribution.

Ecology and Habitats

Being a rather belligerent races liking to prey on the weak, through force or intimidation, racial bias towards them is present is almost all countries they are present. Any one entering civilised land will be met by fear or hostility, sometimes both, depending on the settlement's defense and laws. Thus, they either make groups of themselves together, like a thieves' guild, to be able to hold a bigger ground on said settlements, or keep their errands to a minimum, usually going at dawn or dusk to profit from noticing guards at night before the opposite happens. They usually make their lairs in underground away from high townpeople traffic, such as sewers or secret basements. It is not uncommon to see them living with (species) and (species), as they share a common distrust from the average humanoid.

Buskebors are omnivorous, but really prefer carnivorous diets. For them, leaving a corpse to rot is a waste and a stupid act especially when one is in survivalist conditions. They also appreciate dried meat and some herbs to help their food freshness stay longer. They may have less developped taste buds than other humanoids because of their diet, but they sure know how to cook a steak better than the average joe.

Biological Cycle

The fur length usually adapt to their environment and seasonal temperature, leaving a smaller fur length at summer, and longer during winter for more heat conservation.

Social Structure

Buskebors are not really fond of gatherings in groups, their predatory tendencies makng it hard to cooperate as a collective. They usually gather in bands if their hunting grounds becomes hard to hunt for one alone, but those alliances are rare and short-lived. It can however be possible for groups to be more stable if they each cover special needs for the group, such as one good for hunting and another to barter, as they will like a common synergy is better.
Females , having a lesser muscular, can be regarded as lesser by some males, but a cunning one can earn the respect of a gang.

Facial characteristics

Buskebors have a face and cranium ressembling cervids, but their adaptation in the wild made them develop more protude canines and a larger jaw to ease chewing on carcasses.

Average Intelligence

Most bugbear's education are more limited to other sapient species due to their more outlander lifestyle. Education is regularly given by parents and self-learning. They also have a tendency to be impatient in learning theory and prefer develop through practices. Through generations, they developed a canny intelligence into trap-making, ambushing and leatherworking. So they are capable of inventive and creative outtake, but usually reserves that to things they really like and find useful.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Buskebors are capable of seeing about twice and a half the distance of an human in low light conditions,which gives them a rather good advantage for ambushes, but are notable to see in pitch-black darkness. Their sense of smells is heightened due to a regular ancestral tendency to live in the outdoors, and also have a good sense of hearing thanks to their deer-like ears. This makes them pretty good hunters and survivalists. Their hearing is however more sensible than most, and usually dislike the use of firearms and explosives unless a necessity.

Civilization and Culture

Common Dress Code

Bugbear do not share the taste for etiquette and haute couture. Outlanders , are generally too large to wear most humanoid clothing, the dress in patchworks of leather they make themselves and rudimentary clothing, prefering a versatile and flexible attire. They appreciate adding hunting trophies on them to boast their skills.

History

The origin of the buskebor originate from the god (Deity), which was under studying to create a nature warden , capable of blending the strength and resilience of the bear, the vigilance and calm of the deer, and the capacity of sapience of adaptability of the (species). Through this mean, the god wanted to leave some warden in case he would falter.
However, as the deity came to rest in (location), his son was at odds with other gods, and launched hostilities. He then tried to use the anima of his father to create an army, but the newborns were injected with the anima of rage , corrupting their origin aside from (continuing text), which remained in them.
Thus clashed a war between (species), protected by the other gods, and the buskebor. the toll was high and both sides suffered heavy losses, forcing the bugbear to leave in uncharted lands, but leaving the (species) weakened for the generations to come.
