Seed Spinner

The seed spinner is a device, when cranked to user's need, can make the small object "fly" for some seconds.   In botany and field work, this is used to reduce footing and spoiling the plants and soil nearby to deliver some seeds , or either other usable needs. For example, it can be filled with alchemical weed killers in shape of small capsules breaking on the falling impact, which makes bad herb or thorns wither without having to get close to it.   Some find it other creature uses. Like adventurers making it fly with holy water nearby a pile of bones to act like a sprinkler and detect undeads from a safe distance.   Manufacturers or seed spinners also make toy versions for kids. This is usually played like bowls or horse irons ( the closest near a designated spot wins)using those toys as flying landers. Many sizes varies and it serves as a good practices to use the real deal later and gauge the need of cranks and release height for maximum efficiency. It is a good object to help players learn about dynamics and gravity and wind force.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

A simple clockwork with straps manages to make, with a set number of cranks, the device fly and glide for a very limited time in a direction when released. The toy version is made or softer parts to avoid kids getting injured.   In the professional version, a small lever make up and downs when the rotation does a full turn or more, helping to spread the content through the holes of the base, like gold diggers with the holed nest they have to clean the sand.
